Foot pain most people brush off

The right fit is what makes yoga wear feel supportive, sculpting, and comfortable instead of restrictive or constantly slipping.

Unlike regular clothing, yoga apparel is designed to move with your body. That means choosing the correct size isn’t just about measurements — it’s also about stretch level, compression, support, and how you want the garment to feel during movement.

At Silix, we design our activewear with 4-way stretch fabrics that hug your curves perfectly. But to get that tailored-for-you feeling, you need your exact numbers.

Tips Before Measuring

  • Stand naturally — don’t suck in your stomach.
  • Keep the tape comfortably snug, not tight.
  • Make sure the tape stays level around your body.
  • Measure twice for better accuracy.
  • If you prefer a relaxed fit, allow a little extra room.

Where & How to Measure Like a Pro

Grab a flexible tape measure! For the most accurate results, wear light clothing or just your underwear.

1. How to Measure Your Bust

  • Where: Wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your bust.
  • How: Stand up straight. Bring the tape around your back, under your arms, and across your nipples. Make sure the tape is level all the way around and not too tight or too loose. Take a deep breath in, then exhale naturally and note the number.

2. How to Measure Your Waist

  • Where: Find the narrowest part of your waist, usually an inch or so above your belly button.
  • How: Wrap the tape measure horizontally around your waist. It should be snug against your skin but not digging in. Relax your tummy naturally and write down the measurement.

3. How to Measure Your Hips

  • Where: Around the widest part of your hips and glutes (your bum!).
  • How: Stand with your feet together. Wrap the tape measure horizontally around the fullest part of your hips. Jot down the number.

4. How to Measure Your Length

  • Where: This is the length from your crotch (where your legs meet your torso) down to your ankle bone.
  • How: Take off your shoes and stand barefoot or in socks. It's easiest if a friend helps you with this one. You can also measure the inseam of a pair of pants you already own that fit you well in length.

Matching Your Measurements to Our Size Chart (3 Steps to Your Perfect Match)

Now you have your numbers in inches. Let’s look at our official size chart below to lock in your perfect fit. We’ve built in multiple "safety nets" so you can shop with 100% confidence.

Step 1: Prioritize Hips & Waist

Your waist and hip measurements are the most important for yoga pants.

  • Example: If your waist is 27" and your hips are 38", look at the chart. They both fall perfectly into Size M (Waist 26–29, Hips 36–39). Easy! You are a perfect Medium.

Step 2: Cross-Check with Your US/UK Size & Weight

What if your waist is an S but your hips are an M? Use our double safety net:

  • Your Everyday Jeans Size: Look at the US or UK/AU/NZ columns. If you usually wear a US 6 or 8, go with Size M.
  • Reference Weight (LBS): High-stretch fabric is incredibly forgiving. If you weigh between 121–137 lbs, Size M will give you the most comfortable horizontal stretch without digging in.

Step 3: Check Your Height & Length

Worried about fabric bunching at the ankles or turning into capris?

  • Petite Frames (61–66 inches): Sizes S and M are tailored to fit your leg length flawlessly without extra bulk.
  • Tall Fit (67–71 in): As sizes go from XL to 5XL, the inseam is gradually extended for full ankle coverage.

What If You're Between Sizes?

  • Go Up a Size: If your measurements fall between two sizes, we generally recommend going with the larger size. This gives you more room to move and ensures your gear won't feel restrictive during your practice.
  • Different Sizes for Different Parts? Say your bust is a Medium, but your hips are a Large. Think about which part of the garment needs the most flexibility. For bottoms, hips and waist are critical; for tops, bust and waist are key.
  • Check Model Sizes & Reviews: On our product pages, we usually include the size our model is wearing and their measurements – this can be a great reference! Also, peek at customer reviews, especially those talking about sizing, to get real-world insights.
